6 apes smuggled from Indonesia sent home
KOBE, Japan - A zoo worker takes an orangutan, smuggled from Indonesia, out of a cage in Kobe's Oji Zoo in western Japan on Feb. 2. Four orangutans and two gibbons smuggled from Indonesia to Osaka and later discovered in an Osaka condominium were sent home during the day. The orangutans will be taken to a rehabilitation facility on Indonesia's Kalimantan Island, and the moloch gibbon and siamang gibbon will be placed in a zoo near Jakarta.
