Japan's 1st female bullet train driver makes debut
TOKYO, Feb. 25 Kyodo - Rieko Tsujiuchi, the first woman in Japan to drive a bullet train, waits for a starting signal on Feb. 16 before pulling out of Tokyo Station at 10:31 a.m. at the controls of the Kodama No. 453 bullet train bound for Nagoya. Tsujiuchi is one of two women recently licensed by the Transport Ministry to operate bullet trains.
