Emperor attends symposium on fish diversity

TOKYO, Japan - Emperor Akihito (C) attends an international symposium on fish diversity Feb. 24 being held at the National Science Museum in Ueno, Tokyo in commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the emperor's ascension to the throne. Organizers invited 125 researchers, including 25 from abroad, to participate. The emperor has been involved in researching the taxonomy of goby fish.
