World's biggest high-definition screen opens to media
SAPPORO, Japan - The world's largest high-definition screen is introduced in Sapporo on March 2. Sapporo Television Broadcasting Co. unveiled the screen at a media park now under construction in the capital of Hokkaido, Japan's northern island. The 250 million yen screen, measuring 6.9 meters in width and 3.8 meters in length, uses 1.66 million light-emitting diodes, according to its manufacturer Mitsubishi Electric Corp.
