Okinawa dancers perform in Washington ahead of G-8 summit
WASHINGTON, United States - Dancers from Japan's southernmost island prefecture of Okinawa perform at the opening ceremony March 26 of the annual cherry blossom festival in Washington, ahead of July's Group of Eight (G-8) summit in Okinawa. The dancers performed the Ryukyu Kingdom-era dance ''Kariyushi-no-mai'' and two other dances at the Kennedy Center by the Potomac River, as about 1,000 people watched.
