Police search lawmaker Shirakawa's office

JOETSU, Japan - Niigata police search the office of House of Representatives member Katsuhiko Shirakawa on March 27 after Shirakawa's current and former secretaries were arrested the previous day, along with a third man, over the latest alleged cover-up case involving the Niigata prefectural police force. The three are accused of involvement in the case of two Niigata police officers suspected of erasing computer records of a traffic violation.
