Device that washed ashore explodes, injuring student
MATSUE, Japan - The photo shows a flare-like device inscribed with Korean characters that washed ashore along the Sea of Japan coast and exploded April 1. Hidekazu Tanaka, a 20-year-old student at the Hiroshima Institute of Technology was seriously hurt when he tried to ignite it, according to police. Police believe the device was made in South Korea.
