Obuchi speaks at 'Education Summit'
TOKYO, Japan - Japanese Prime Minister Keizo Obuchi (center) gives an address at the Tokyo National Museum on April 1 at the start of the world's first ''Education Summit'' attended by education ministers of the Group of Eight nations. Delegates from UNESCO, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development and the European Commission are also attending the two-day conference. On the right is Japanese Education Minister Hirofumi Nakasone, who is chairing the conference, while on the left is British Education and Employment Minister Baroness Blackstone, who is vice chairwoman.
