16 South Pacific leaders gather in Miyazaki
MIYAZAKI, Japan - The one-day Pacific Islands Leaders' Meeting 2000 (PALM) -- the second summit between Japan and the 16 members of the South Pacific Forum (SPF) -- is held at the seaside resort complex Seagaia in Miyazaki on April 22. Japanese Prime Minister Yoshiro Mori , who chaired the summit meeting, unveiled a $4 million aid package to South Pacific Islands nations.
