Japan's 2nd, 3rd ibis chicks in photo
SADO, Japan - Japan's second (R) and third (L) crested ibis chicks bred in captivity are in this photo taken May 11 at the conservation center on Sadogashima Island in Niigata Prefecture. The chicks hatched May 8 and May 10 from eggs laid by Yang Yang and her mate, You You. The chicks' parents came to Japan in January 1999 as gifts from Chinese President Jiang Zemin to Emperor Akihito. The photo was provided by the center.
