U.S. freighter with PCB-contaminated waste leaves Yokohama
YOKOHAMA, Japan - The U.S. cargo ship Greenwave leaves Yokohama port May 13 carrying some 100 tons of polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB)-contaminated waste from U.S. forces in Japan. The freighter is believed to be heading for Wake Island, some 3,700 kilometers west of Hawaii, for unloading.
