Amuro sings to commemorate Okinawa emigration to Hawaii

HONOLULU, - Japanese pop singer Namie Amuro (C), who hails from Okinawa Prefecture, hold a concert in Honolulu on May 14 to commemorate the centenary of the start of emigration from Okinawa to Hawaii in 1900. Amuro, 22, sang a number of songs including her hit ''Can You Celebrate?'' at outdoor stadium Waikiki Shell, which was packed with an audience of 6,000.
