Cambodians mark anniversary of 'Killing Fields' campaign
CHOEUNG EK, Cambodia - Cambodian Senate President Chea Sim (far R), Heng Samrin, vice president of the National Assembly, (C) and many ordinary people, including Buddhist monks, assemble May 20 at Choeung Ek, known as the ''Killing Fields,'' to mark the anniversary of the start of mass killings by the Khmer Rouge that claimed as many as 1.7 million Cambodian lives from 1975 to 1979.
