Noh actor and designated living treasure dies at 69
TOKYO, Japan - Noh actor Kanze Tetsunojo is shown performing at Nishihonganji Temple in Shimogyo Ward, Kyoto, in the photo, dated October 1997. Tetsunojo, designated a living national treasure, died of liver failure July 3 at the age of 69. Noh refers to Japanese musical dance-dramas that originated in the 14th century.
