Prospects dim for Japan's resumption of commercial whaling

ADELAIDE, Australia - Photo shows Minoru Morimoto (far L), Japan's chief delegate to the 53rd annual meeting of the International Whaling Commission (IWC), and other Japanese delegates. The IWC adopted on July 5 a nonbinding resolution filed by antiwhaling countries calling on Japan to stop its ongoing whale research in the Antarctic Sea.
