Kaio promoted to ozeki

NAGOYA, Japan - Sumo wrestler Kaio smiles after learning about his promotion to ozeki, at his Tomozuna stable in Nagoya on July 26. The 28-year-old, who won his first Emperor's Cup in May, finished the recent Nagoya Grand Sumo Tournament with an 11-4 record to post a total of 33 wins over three straight tournaments, considered the minimum requirement for promotion to sumo's second highest rank. He is seen holding a sea bream, a traditional gift to mark special occasions.
