Bridgestone forecasts extra loss following recall
TOKYO, Japan - Tadakazu Harada, vice president of Bridgestone Corp., speaks at a news conference in Tokyo on Aug. 10. He said the company expects an extraordinary loss of 37.2 billion yen on a consolidated basis this business year in connection with the recall of some 6.5 million tires by its wholly owned U.S. subsidiary.
