Putin arrives in Tokyo for talks on peace treaty
TOKYO, Japan - Russian President Vladimir Putin (R) reads a statement shortly after his arrival at Tokyo's Haneda airport, saying, ''I am ready to advance overall relations with our neighbor Japan.'' Prime Minister Yoshiro Mori (L) listens. The two leaders will hold three rounds of talks over Sept. 4 and 5. The summit talks will be the first full-fledged negotiations on the territorial dispute in more than two years.
