Zhu suggests halting Chinese naval operations near Japan
BEIJING, China - Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji says he believes China should stop research activities and naval operations in what Japan considers its economic waters. The premier's remarks were made at a meeting on Sept. 12 between Zhu (R) and Ichiro Aizawa (L), a lawmaker with Japan's ruling Liberal Democratic Party, who the photo shows shake hands before their talks.
