East Timor's Bishop Belo visits Hiroshima
HIROSHIMA, Japan - Roman Catholic Bishop Carlos Belo, East Timor's spiritual leader and joint winner of the 1996 Nobel Peace Prize with Jose Ramos-Horta, also of East Timor, on Sept. 19 visits the Peace Memorial Park in Hiroshima and presents a wreath to the monument for A-bomb victims. Belo came to Japan to deliver an address to an international forum on refugees and migrants organized by the Catholic Bishops Conference of Japan.
