Matsuzaka gets hit in Olympic preliminary

SYDNEY - South Korea's Kim Dong Joo rips a two-run double in the first inning off Seibu Lions star Daisuke Matsuzaka on Sept. 23 as the defending Asia champions edged Japan 7-6 in 10 innings in the Olympic baseball tournament at the Sydney Games. Despite the loss, Japan (4-2) was assured of a place in the semifinals on Sept. 26.
