S., N. Korea begin first-ever defense ministers' talks
CHEJU ISLAND, South Korea - North Korean People's Armed Forces Minister Vice Marshal Kim Il Chol (L) and South Korean Defense Minister Cho Sung Tae shake hands in the first-ever inter-Korean defense ministers' talks, which opened at a hotel in Cheju Island on Sept. 25. The two-day talks will explore ways of easing military tensions on the Korean Peninsula and promoting confidence-building measures on the world's last remaining Cold War frontier.
