High court cuts prison term for ex-lawmaker Nakajima

TOKYO, Japan - File photo shows Yojiro Nakajima, a former member of the House of Representatives, who was given a reduced sentence by a high court Sept. 28 for taking bribes, vote-buying and fraud. The Tokyo High Court changed his prison sentence to two years, shaving six months off a term imposed in July 1999 by the Tokyo District Court.
