FUKUOKA, Japan - Yomiuri Giants manager Shigeo Nagashima apologizes to baseball fans Oct. 26 over the scandal involving catcher Naoki Sugiyama who was arrested for allegedly molesting and beating a 28-year-old woman earlier this month.

Tokyo Gov. Ishihara tops list as 'ideal father'

Shintaro Ishihara (in file photo), 68, topped the list of a Japanese survey as the most ideal father, with respondents noting his leadership qualities, articulation and ability to get things done. Actor Yuzo Kayama, 64, came next, followed by Yomiuri Giants manager Shigeo Nagashima, 65.
