Jumbo Christmas tree lights up in Ginza ahead of merrymaking

TOKYO, Japan - A jumbo-sized Christmas tree is lighted Nov. 11 before a large crowd of shoppers and spectators at one of the main corners of Tokyo's Ginza district, opening the holiday shopping season. The tree will be lighted from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily until Dec. 25.
