Int'l IT task force kicks off meeting in Tokyo
TOKYO, Japan - Japanese Prime Minister Yoshiro Mori (at the rostrum and on screen) gives an opening address at the first meeting in Tokyo of the Digital Opportunity Task Force, dubbed ''dot force,'' that the Group of Eight (G-8) leaders agreed to form at their summit in Okinawa in July. Officials from the G-8 major nations, international organizations and some developing countries will discuss ways of securing equal worldwide access to information technology (IT).
