Violent Japanese movie opens to public despite protest
TOKYO, Japan - A movie theater in Tokyo's Ginza shopping district is swamped by a number of people on Dec. 16 as a controversial Japanese movie featuring a series of fatal fights by junior high school students opens to the public. The film, directed by Kinji Fukasaku, has been widely criticized by politicians who judged the film to be unsuitable for viewing by the nation's youth.
