IT seminar begins in Okinawa as follow-up to PALM
NAHA, Japan - Senior officials from 14 countries in the Pacific including Japan begin a two-day seminar on information technology (IT) Jan. 23 in Urasoe, Okinawa Prefecture, as a follow-up to the Pacific Islands' Leaders Meeting (PALM) last April in Miyazaki Prefecture. Sponsored by the U.N. Development Program (UNDP), they will discuss how to bridge the digital divide in the Pacific.
