Mitsubishi-Nissho Iwai steel alliance eyed in Oct.

TOKYO, Japan - Flanked by Mitsubishi Corp. Vice President Kenji Sakurai (L), Nissho Iwai Corp. President Shiro Yasutake speaks at a news conference January 25. The two trading houses said they have agreed to integrate their steel products operations under a joint venture by the fall of 2002.
