Siazon appointed as ambassador to Japan

MANILA, Philippines - File photo shows former Foreign Secretary Domingo Siazon who has been appointed ambassador to Japan. Philippine President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo told a group of Japanese reporters Feb. 8 that she has appointed Siazon to the post. Siazon, 61, a career diplomat, will replace Romeo Arguelles in the Tokyo post.
