EU renews call for more competitive Japan telecom market
TOKYO, Japan - European Trade Commissioner Pascal Lamy speaks at a news conference at a Tokyo hotel Feb. 16. Lamy repeated his call for Japan to tighten oversight of its dominant telecom carrier Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corp. (NTT) and spur competition in its telecom market.
