MIURA, Japan - Tim Blackman, father of Lucie Blackman, whose dismembered remains were found last month in a beach cave in Miura, Kanagawa Prefecture, embraces his daughter Sophie at the cave on March 1, while Lucie's brother Rupert places white lilies. Obara, 48, is suspected of being involved in Blackman's disappearance, but has not been charged with any crime in connection with the case.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department said dental records were required to identify the decomposed remains.

Hair from alleged rapist's condo may be Blackman's

TOKYO, Japan - Police said Dec. 28 that hair found in a condominium belonging to alleged rapist Joji Obara may be that of Lucie Blackman (file photo), a 22-year-old British bar hostess who disappeared in July in Tokyo. DNA tests indicate that several strands of hair taken from a bathroom of the condominium owned by Obara in the seaside city of Zushi, Kanagawa Prefecture, southwest of Tokyo, were hers, the police said.
