Japan offers to help Cuba improve ties with U.S.
TOKYO, Japan - Cuban Foreign Minister Felipe Perez Roque (L) and Japan's Prime Minister Yoshiro Mori shake hands at Mori's official residence in Tokyo on March 6 before holding talks. Mori was quoted as telling Perez that both Cuba and the U.S. are ''important friends'' for Japan and that Tokyo is ''ready to assist in anyway it can'' to improve relations between the two countries.
