Tomy to introduce 'conversation robot'

TOKYO, Japan - Toymaker Tomy Co. said March 14 it has developed an artificial intelligence robot (shown in handout photo) capable of recognizing human words for conversation. The robot, called ''memoni,'' will be on sale for 18,000 yen this summer after being displayed at a toy fair to be held in Tokyo later in March.
