Kenyans find fossils of previously unknown early human
NAIROBI, Kenya - Photo shows a fossilized skull of the newly discovered ''Kenyanthropus platyops,'' Greek for ''flat-faced human from Kenya,'' announced by a team of Kenyan paleontologists March 21. The early human lived about the same time as the owner of the oldest skeleton ever discovered, the ''Lucy'' remains that were unearthed in Ethiopia in 1974.
