S. Korea's Incheon airport begins operation
INCHEON, South Korea - Passengers wait at a check-in counter at the newly-built Incheon International Airport, which began operations on March 29. Designed to accommodate takeoffs and landings 24 hours a day, the airport, located some 50 kilometers west of Seoul, has two 4,000-meter runways and the ability to handle 170,000 flights and 27 million passengers a year.
