Crested ibis Mei Mei lays four eggs

NIIGATA, Japan - Photo shows four eggs Mei Mei, a crested ibis given to Japan by China last October, has laid at a preservation center on Sado Island, Niigata Prefecture. Center officials said April 3 that Mei Mei and her mate Yu Yu began mating on March 20 and Mei Mei laid the four eggs at intervals starting March 26. The picture was provided by the center.
