Daiwa House to sell 1st quake-cushioning house in Japan
OSAKA, Japan - Daiwa House Industry Co. said April 4 it will begin selling April 14 what it claims to be Japan's first prefabricated house featuring earthquake-absorbent technology. The company said the two-story house, Statement With C, can withstand a quake as powerful as the 1995 Great Hanshin Earthquake that devastated the western Japanese port city of Kobe.
