Elephant calf from India arrives at Tokyo zoo
TOKYO, Japan - The cage containing a female elephant calf from India is unloaded from a plane at Narita airport in Chiba Prefecture on April 5. Surya, an Asian elephant believed to be 7 years old and weighing about 660 kilograms, was presented to Ueno Zoological Gardens in Tokyo's Taito Ward. India also sent Japan two elephants in 1984.
