Int'l liquor festival opens in Kyoto

KYOTO, Japan - Some 170 brews, including sake, distilled spirits and local beer, are exhibited at the Kyoto International Liquor Festival, which opened April 10 in Kyoto. The festival, sponsored by an organizing committee of wine lovers and Japanese liquor companies, was last held in Japan 10 years ago. It aims at popularizing Japanese alcoholic beverages overseas.
