China says U.S. air crew to be released soon
HAIKOU, China - Chen Ci, head of Hainan Province's foreign affairs office, says at a news conference in Haikou on April 11 that procedures are under way to release the crew of a U.S. reconnaissance plane detained there since April 1. Twenty-one men and three women from the EP-3 plane have been detained after their plane collided with a Chinese F-8 fighter over the South China Sea.
