U.S., China to begin talks on spy plane collision
BEIJING, China - U.S. Deputy Undersecretary of Defense Peter F. Verga leaves a Beijing hotel for the U.S. Embassy on the morning of April 18. The United States and China are due to start talks later in the day in an effort to resolve differences over the April 1 collision between a U.S. Navy spy plane and a Chinese fighter that both sides continue to blame on the other.
