Koizumi attends May Day rally

TOKYO, Japan - Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi (L), attends a May Day rally organized by the Japanese Trade Union Confederation at Tokyo's Yoyogi Park on April 28 with labor minister Chikara Sakaguchi (2nd from L). Koizumi is the first prime minister to attend the May Day rally since Ryutaro Hashimoto in 1996. Opposition Democratic Party of Japan leader Yukio Hatoyama (3rd from L) and Social Democratic Party Chairman Takako Doi (4th from L) also attended the meeting.
