Saitama City launched in 3-way merger
SAITAMA, Japan - The new municipal government office of newly launched Saitama City is opened to the public in a May 1 ceremony. Saitama City becomes Japan's latest metropolis and the capital of Saitama Prefecture, north of Tokyo, as a result of a merger of the cities of Urawa, Omiya and Yono.
