Public gets first look at baby hippopotamus born at Ueno zoo
TOKYO, Japan - A baby pygmy hippopotamus (L), born at the Ueno Zoo in Tokyo, makes its first public appearance on May 16. Born April 24, the female -- which weighed 11.5 kilograms as of May 6 -- is the offspring of an 11-year-old female named Ebony, which came from a U.S. zoo, and Showhei, aged 10, which hails from a zoo in Nagoya, central Japan.
