Takahashi lights 'Flame of Friendship' to open EAG

OSAKA, Japan - Naoko Takahashi, Japan's Sydney Olympic marathon gold medalist, ignites ''Tomodachi no Hi,'' or ''Flame of Friendship'' at Osaka Dome in Osaka on May 19 to open the nine-day East Asian Games. Roughly 3,000 athletes and officials representing 10 national Olympic committees gathered for competition in 15 sports.
