MSDF decommissions sub in fatal ship collision

HIROSHIMA, Japan - Crew members of the Maritime Self-Defense Force (MSDF) submarine Nadashio lower a flag at a decommissioning ceremony in Kure, Hiroshima Prefecture, June 1. The 2,250-ton sub, which hit a pleasure boat on Tokyo Bay in July 1988, killing 30, is to be scrapped.
