Yamanashi Pref. holds 1st Mt. Fuji eruption disaster drill
KOFU, Japan - Firefighters try to rescue people trapped in a collapsed house in a disaster-preparedness drill in the town of Kawaguchiko in Yamanashi Prefecture on June 3. It was the first time for the prefecture to conduct a full-fledged drill assuming an eruption of Mt. Fuji, an active volcano extending from the prefecture's border to that of neighboring Shizuoka Prefecture.
