Climate-change chief urges Japan to be independent of U.S.
THE HAGUE, Netherlands - Dutch Environment Minister Jan Pronk speaks in an interview with Kyodo News in The Hague on June 11. Pronk, president of the sixth Conference of the Parties (COP6) of the U.N. Framework Convention on Climate Change, urged Japan and other U.S. allies to be independent in setting their positions for international talks on climate change.
