ZENTSUJI, Kagawa - Farmers pack square watermelons in Zentsuji, Kagawa Prefecture, western Japan, on June 14. The watermelons, grown in square glass frames, will be shipped for display at department stores and other places rather than for eating. They are priced at about 10,000 yen apiece.

                TOKYO, Japan - A diamond-studded Christmas tree is on display at the Nihonbashi Takashimaya department store in Tokyo on Nov. 13. The 40-centimeter-tall Christmas tree is studded with 400 diamonds, the largest weighing 3 karats, and lined with chemically treated miniature roses. The Christmas tree comes with a teddy bear with a diamond necklace. Takashimaya says the set was specially designed for Christmas 2007 with the price set at 200.7 million yen.                   UTSUNOMIYA, Japan - Three handguns and 23 bullets confiscated from a gangster who has been was arrested for allegedly selling a Japanese woman for prostitution are on display at the Utsunomiya Higashi Police Station in Utsunomiya, Tochigi Prefecture on Sept. 13.
